Private 202647 Alfred Brooks died of wounds age 41 on 23 March 1918 while serving the 4th Battalion of the Lincolnshire Regiment.

His grave lies in the Bac-du-Sud British Cemetery, Bailleulval where he is remembered.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Andrew Church, Catford and is possibly the A. Brooks on the Lewisham Council Staff War Memorial.

Details:
He was the husband of Rose Brooks of 17 Glenfarg Road, Catford.
