Spring of 1895 to 29 August 1914.

War Service:
Private L/10223 JOHN ST PATRICK BRANCH of 1st battalion, Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) was killed in action on 29 August 1914. The battalion arrived in France at about 11am on 15 August and disembarked at Le Havre.

He is commemorated on the La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial. The memorial commemorates those men of the British Expeditionary Force who died in August, September and early October 1914 and who have no known grave.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the Book of Remembrance at St Saviour’s church, Forest Hill.

Details:
He was the son of John H Branch.He was born in Brockley in the spring of 1895, lived in Forest Hill and enlisted in Maidstone.
