Brain, Harry Sidney

War Service:

Gunner Harry Sidney Brain served with the Royal Garrison Artillery. He died on 15 April 1915 aged 35 in No. 14 Stationary Hospital Boulogne. He had formerly served with the 10th Squadron, 3rd Imperial Yeomanry Vol. in the 2nd Boer War.

He is buried in the Wimereux communal Cemetery, Nord-pas-de-Calais, Plot 1.E.28A.

Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Lee, just below his son Harry Brain. He is also remembered on the memorial at Northbrook School, Hedgley Street, Lee.

Deatails:
He left a wife Florence and 6 children, a 7th was born four months after his death.
