War Service:
Private 2040 WALTER EDWARD BERNARD BOECKER of the 7th (City of London) battalion London Regiment was killed in action on 5 May 1915. The battalion went to France on 18 March 1915.

He is buried in Post Office Rifles Cemetery at Festubert.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill.

Details:
He was born in Camberwell in the summer of 1895, the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Rudolf Boecker of Sunderland Road, Forest Hill.
