Rifleman S/17634 Leonard William Bignell died on 10 February 1920 age 29. He served with the 1st Batallion of the Rifle Brigade from 12 December 1915 until being discharged on medical grounds on 13 August 1918.
He is buried in at Hither Green Cemetery, Grave C.40.

He was the son of William and Frances Bignell and the husband of Maud Florence Bignell of 64 Upper Lewes Road, Brighton He was born at New Cross.
