Beardow, Alexander Cecil

War Service: Alexander Cecil Beardow served as a Private with "B" Company 1st/22nd Battalion London Regiment. His service number was 4114. He died of his wounds 18 September 1916 aged 19 and is buried at the Millencourt Communal Cemetery Extension.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the St Pauls, Deptford WW1 War Memorial.

Details: Alexander Cecil Beardow was born on the 19th October 1896 to James Robert and Sarah Jane Beardow. He was baptised on the 27th December 1896 at St.Lukes Church, Deptford. In 1911 he was living at 47, Adolphus Street, Deptford with his parents and brother Harold and he was employed as a brass finisher.
