Bass, Matthew Henry

War Service:
Lance Corporal A/200973 MATTHEW HENRY BASS of 10th battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps was killed in action on 20 September 1917. He enlisted in Lewisham.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St George’s church in Catford.

Details:
He was born in Canning Town and lived in Bethnal Green.
