Gunner 21495 THOMAS JOHN BAREFOOT of ‘Q’ Anti-Aircraft Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery died on 24 May 1918, aged 31.

He is buried in Querrieu British Cemetery, near Amiens.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Dover Marine war memorial inside the former railway station and on the war memorial at the church of St Luke, Deptford.

Details:
He was the husband of Minnie Barefoot of 21, Berthon St., Deptford. They married in the autumn of 1912. Before enlisting he was employed by the South Eastern & Chatham Railway Company as a porter.
