Rifleman ALBERT JOHN BALL of the 2/21st battalion London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) died on 13 May 1918, aged 26. At this time the battalion was serving in Palestine.

He is buried in Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, burials in this cemetery are mainly of men who died of wounds or illness in the Cairo hospitals.

He is remembered on the memorial at St Mildred’s church, Lee.

Details:
He was born in Lee in the autumn of 1891. He was the husband of Ethel Ball of Chart Sutton, Maidstone.
