Private 64516 ALBERT CHARLES AMSLER of 8th battalion Cheshire Regiment died of influenza on 18 October 1918 in Secunderabad, India.

He is buried in Bolarum Cavalry Barracks Cemetery in Hyderabad, India.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill. His name also appears on the Madras 1914-1918 Memorial in Madras War Cemetery. This memorial bears the names of more than 1,000 men who died during the First World War who lie in various civil and cantonment cemeteries (like the one at Bolarum) where it is not possible to maintain their graves in perpetuity.

Details:
He was 32 years old, the son of Annie G. Amsler, of 17, Pearfield Road, Forest Hill, and the late Auguste Amsler. He was a French national and worked as a music teacher before enlisting.
