War Service:
Second Lieutenant HARRISON KINGSLEY ALLPORT of the 4th battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders was killed in action on 21 August 1916, aged 24. Before being commissioned on 30 July 1915 he had served as private 2545 in the 14th battalion of the London regiment (London Scottish).

He is buried in Flatiron Copse Cemetery, Mametz.

Location of Memorial:
His name is remembered on the war memorial at St Dunstan’s College and in the pages of the History of The Old Dunstonian Rugby Football Club.

Details:
He was the son of Robert and Jessie Allport, of 30, Lissenden Mansions, Highgate Rd. He was educated at St Dunstan’s College in Catford between 1901 and 1914, before going on to Christ’s Hospital at Horsham.
