War Service: Private George Allen served on the Western Front with the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers and his service number was 10142. He died on 14th March 1915.
Location of Memorial: Private Allen is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial and on the war memorial at the church of St Luke's, Deptford.
Details: George Allen was the son of Julia Allen of 8 Greenfield Street, Deptford and the late Henry Allen. He had two brothers; James and William, and three sisters; Sarah, Rose and Kate.
