Albert Edward Henry, SMITH, Lieutenant 'E' Company 57 Battalion, County of London Home Guard aged 56 was killed together with Lieutenant William W Ray, Sergt. Ernest Alfred Tarr Corporal Frederick Chapman Lucas and Lieutenant Charles Christopher Pacy when their Headquarters at Brockley Road School was destroyed by a Flying Bomb on 19 June 1944.

He is buried in Hither Green Cemetery

He is also remembered on a memorial at St. Hilda's Church, Crofton Park.
