Company Quartermaster Serjeant FRANCIS RICHARD DUNCAN ADAMSON of the 20th battalion London Regiment died on 25 May 1915, aged 41. His service number was 7 and he held the Volunteer Long Service Medal. This suggests he was serving with a Volunteer battalion when they were incorporated into the London Regiment in 1908.

Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Boulogne Eastern cemetery. His son Duncan was killed serving with the 20th on 12 September 1918 and both he and his son are remembered on the war memorial at St Peter’s church, Brockley.

He was the husband of Minnie Adamson, of 49 Brownhill Road, Catford.
