Charles Edgar ADAMS held the rank of Lieut-Commander. He died 9 June 1918 aged 38. He served with the H.M.S Egmont Royal Naval Reserve. He was awarded the R.D.
He was lost at sea and is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial at Panel Reference: 30.

He is remembered locally on the Monson Road WW1 War Memorial.

He was the son of Mary A.E. Adams of 32, Cassela Road, New Cross, London and the late Alexander John Samuel Adams.
