Staff Sergeant JAMES ACOTT of 1 Motor Transport Water Tank Company, Royal Army Service Corps died on 2 March 1919 aged 36.

He is buried in Belgrade cemetery, Namur, Belgium Most of the men buried in this cemetery died in the Casualty Clearing Stations based in Namur after the Armistice.

He was commemorated on the Sydenham, Forest Hill and District Tradesmen’s Memorial.

Details:
He was the son of James and Rebecca Acott of Forest Hill. In the autumn of 1906 he married Florence Agnes Toop. They lived at 20, Malham Rd., Forest Hill.
