Type: Roll of Honour in large wooden frame

Description: Paper roll of honour with ink lettering in a large wood frame. The names of those who served are given in order of enlistment, together with rank, unit and outcome where wounded, killed, died, or decorated. To the bottom right hand corner of the frame there are photographs of ten of those who died surrounded by patriotic cartoons in ink.

Inscription:
Paris House
Roll Of Honour

is inscribed in gilt at the head of the frame.

As part of their celebration of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887 Chiesman's adopted a French theme and renamed their parade of shops in Lewisham High Streeet Paris House.

is written above photographs of ten of those who died
