Inscription:
Sacred To The Memory Of 38 Children
And 6 Teachers Who Were Killed When
Sandhurst Road School Was Bombed
By A Lone German Aeroplane
On Wednesday 20th January 1943

31 Children and 1 teacher are buried together in a civilian war dead plot at Hither Green Cemetery. 7 Children and 5 teachers were buried elsewhere.
