Original plaques Stolen [Lost]

Replacement plaques unveiled 18 December 2011

The 9 metal plaques bearing the names of those buried was stolen on 30 January 2011, sadly before all the names could be fully extracted. The names list below is complete for the 4 panel memorial as we have a high quality picture. But we do not hold such a picture for the 5 panel memorial, so the name list is produced from the mortuary records held in Lewisham Archives and not from the memorial.

A set of replacement plaques using the information held in the Archives were unveilled on 18 December 2011.

Description:
Plot FF was set aside by the Council for war casualties. It contains a Cross on a stepped octagonal base with an inscription. There are 205 [should be 234 names according to Ken White's notes but cannot verify this] names listed on 5 plaques in the raised garden area of people who were buried in the FF plot and 107 names listed on 4 plaques forming part of a rectangular plot of those who were buried in the trenches. Plot FF also contains the Sandhurst Road School grave and is adjacent to Plot GG which is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Ceremonies
Replacement plaques were unveiled and rededicated on 18 December 2011
