Description: White stone block raised on two steps with a steel helmet on top and containing an inscription. It is situated at the south west corner of a memorial garden.

Inscription:
In memory service men and women and people of Downham who gave their lives in all conflicts. We will remember them.

Wars Commemorated: All Wars

History: The garden space was created after the Second World War, but became neglected and a new automatic toilet was placed there. After protest by the British Legion a purpose made memorial was placed at the southwest corner c. 1990. Nearby there is a seat in memory of L.W.T. Satchell 1918-92 past Hon. Sec. Royal British Legion.
