History: The freehold of a temperance hall, which was in use from 1842, was purchased as a permanent memorial. The hall was in liquidation in 1952 and was later demolished.

Names: The roll of honour contained the names of 290 members who served in the Great War, representing 19 lodges in the West Kent district and also the names of men who died.
