A memorial Plaque was unveiled on Sunday, 22 June 1947 by Admiral Lord Mountevans, in memory of:

Lieutenant William W. Ray M.M
Lieutenant Albert Edward Henry Smith
Lieutenant Charles Christopher Pacy
Sergeant Ernest Alfred Tarr
Corporal F.C. Lucas

'E' Company, 57 Battalion county of London Home Guard, who were Killed by Enemy Action on 19 June 1944. When their Headquarters at Brockley Road School was destroyed by a Flying Bomb.
